Easter

We had a very mellow Easter. Grandma Sandi and Grandpa Warren stopped by to bring some Easter gifts to Shane. He got a really cute outdoorsy type outfit and a toy for his car seat that he absolutely loves! It totally keeps him entertained in the car now! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!! His Aunt Tammy and Uncle Peter also gave him a cute surfboard play mat that he has been having fun with.

Then we went to Grandma Linda's for the afternoon and for dinner. He got a cute Easter bunny and a bunch of bunny books that he really likes. The big accomplishment for the day...he sat all by himself and played with his toys!!! He is just too cute!

We hope everyone had a great Easter!!!

Walking already?!?

Shane just amazes me daily! He is trying to walk before he can crawl or even sit on his own! He can manage sitting for about 15 seconds before toppling over to one side now, but check out this video of him walking (with Dad's help of course!). He did this over and over and didn't seem to get tired of it!

Also, he has got the giggles lately!
All Dad has to do is say the words Peak-A-Boo and he starts laughing.
It doesn't take much to entertain him!

And here are some new pictures of Shane and some of his buddies...

Fun in the sun!

I am just LOVING this weather! I can't wait for summer to get here so we can be outside all the time. Shane absolutely LOVES being outside! We have been having lots of fun with him outdoors. Daddy let him play in the grass with no shoes on and he just thought it was the greatest thing ever! Check out the great pictures he got. I was really impressed!! Go Daddy!

Baby Love

Shane and I spent some time with Dominique and Dakota this weekend. Dakota is Shane's very first friend and is only two weeks younger than him. Dakota's Daddy says she isn't allowed to have boyfriends, so we will settle on the title of Best Friend for now : ) They are so cute and us Mommy's are having so much fun comparing milestones and watching them grow together.

Best Friends!

On a roll!

Shane is rolling all over the place! We can't set him down without him instantly rolling onto his tummy. It's really cute, but he still seems confused at how he ends up turned over that way! Ryan is trying to teach him to crawl, but I'm not so anxious! My baby is getting so big already!! I'm trying to get all my cuddling in before he is a big boy and doesn't want his Mommy to hug and kiss him anymore : )
He had his first taste of food this week too! The rice cereal was more like thick formula, but he got to try eating with a spoon. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but he was definitely interested in the whole situation and just loves sitting at the table in his high chair. Here is a little video clip for your viewing pleasure!

Also, we took Shane for his first professional photo shoot! I'll post a couple pictures below, but check out our slide show on the right side of this page for all of the pictures. They turned out really cute, but Shane was crying almost the whole time! I did everything I could think of...he napped and ate right before our appointment, but it didn't seem to help. Not many smiles, but still cute pictures of the family!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Shane went in for his 4 month check-up on Valentine's Day.
He is now 13 lbs 1 oz and 25 inches long! He is average for his height and a little below average for his weight, but it is to be expected since both of his parents are small and since he is such an active baby. We got the green light to start feeding him food so stay tuned for a video of that coming soon. Lately he has been making some new noises and is mimicking us a lot more. Still rolling over to his sides a lot and just loves playing with all of his toys! We hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day!!

A New Year

It's amazing how much can happen in a month! I went back to work and Shane now spends three days a week with Grandma and two days a week with Daddy. It was quite an adjustment at first, but now everyone is getting along just fine. Shane has discovered his TOYS! He now happily sits in his chair and plays with his toys for quite a while. He is also doing great with his tummy time. He has been rolling over from his tummy to his back and from his back to his sides. He still loves to stand more than anything. We even managed to get a picture of him standing on the couch all on his own! It's pretty amazing for 3 1/2 months! Here are a few new pictures of our growing boy and a cute little video of him and Daddy playing his favorite new game... Peak-A-Boo! Enjoy!!
