Baby Shane: June 2010

Another summer tradition...Harmony Festival! This festival promotes "Health, Art, Ecology, Healthy Living, and Spirituality”, but I really go to hear all the awesome bands that play there. This year it was REALLY hot. Poor Shane's little cheeks were bright red the entire time. He came and checked out the cool vendors and stations that were set up and then Grandma picked him up so I could enjoy the bands for the rest of the day.

During the day I got to see The Expendables, Steel Pulse and Slightly Stoopid. Then Jackie and Del came and hung out with me that night. We got VIP backstage for the night show and fully enjoyed seeing Galactic up close. I was having a blast until someone stole my iPhone from backstage. I panicked for an hour or so, but didn't let it ruin my night!! Can't wait for next year!

Ryan hurt his back this week so I got an unexpected day off with Shane! We decided to go "exploring" at Spring Lake. The weather was very strange...not hot really, but very humid. We just started walking down the path with no particular destination...

The whole time we were walking Shane kept saying he wanted to go swimming. I kept telling him there was no where to swim and we were just exploring today. Five minutes later we stumble upon this swimming hole that I didn't even know was there! How could we live 5 minutes away and not know about this?!? Of course he was soo excited and I just had to let him play in the water with his pull-up on. We were totally unprepared for swimming, but still had so much fun!

This was also the weekend of the Forestville BBQ that we go to every year. It benefits the Forestville Youth Park which is privately owned and operated by a non-profit organization. There is music, food, carnival games and rides and tons of vendors. We always have a good time!

He had fun driving the car, but then had a minor meltdown because they said he was too small to ride the motorcycles.

We could have done this slide over and over all day long.

Then we headed straight over to Nate's house to celebrate his 3rd birthday! These boys have a blast playing together, but mostly they ran around naked and played in the pool with squirt guns so this is the only picture I can post!

The next day was Dominique's baby shower! Her daughter Dakota was born just 2 weeks after Shane and now she is expecting her second baby...a BOY! We are so happy for them and were excited to celebrate at her shower. We know Dakota will make an excellent big sister!
